The website offers selected urban areas, where users can navigate in three different views:
1) URBAN VIEW: 3D city view coded with real-time neighbourhood information (functions, names of owner, building availability, and development status, etc).
2) ARCHITECTURAL VIEW: a closed-up building view coded with real-time building information (function per floor, type of business per room, etc) generated by users. Users can register their ownership in:
-Building Share: invest in the building with/ or without time share.
-Floor Share: invest in one floor of the building with/ or without time share.
-Room Share: invest in one room of the building with/ or without time share.
3) META VIEW: an interface that allows users to register their spatial wishes, such as size of space, duration of stay, amount of investment, type of neighbors they would like to enhance their business and the commercial potential of that area, etc.
In Red Light District Pilot Project, buildings located around the Oudekerksplein and along the O.Z.Achterburgwal will be first translated into ARCHITECTURAL VIEW. These buildings are in urgent need of functional change and renovation, offering great opportunities for creative solutions from small entrepreneurs. After this pilot project, the prototype will be applied in other areas in need of re-vitalization, such as Amsterdam Sloterdijk.
